No Game Left Behind

Over the last eight years, I've built a bit of a catalog. And while my arcade-style games aren't going to be revered or remembered by most, I don't want to see them disappear with the closure of Xbox Live Indie Games. Don't worry, I have a plan!

Depending on the title, I will be planning to bring each of my games forward in one of three different ways.

  1. itch.io. This fantastic little site will allow me to sell DRM-free, Windows-compatible versions of my games. You will see a portion of my catalog make its way there. The itch.io versions will probably closely resemble the XBLIG versions, adding only a couple of minor features such as keyboard support. Controller support may be limited to Xbox 360 controllers.
  2. Mobile/UWP. A few of my existing games (and, one I haven't released) lend themselves pretty well to touchscreens! My plan is to harness MonoGame and Xamarin to bring these to mobile platforms. If time permits, I would also love to release these games on the Universal Windows Platform!
  3. Next-gen. My most ambitious and appealing titles are destined for something greater. Stay tuned.

I'm not ready to announce specific titles or platforms, but I'm going to call this little initiative "No Game Left Behind," so that--combined with a little intuition--should give you a good idea of what I'm planning. Please look forward to new versions of the yyrGames titles you've enjoyed!
