Finally, I have unleashed the ultimate version of my finest creation ever! I hope you'll love it. And along with that, I've released a 100% FREE version of this game for you to try out! So now, let me explain some details, and mention what comes next...
Super Duper Multitasking (2025) has replaced Super Multitasking (2018). If you owned Super Multitasking prior to February 4th, 2025, then you already own Super Duper Multitasking! Don't worry, the new version contains 100% of the content that the old version did, plus a TON more!
Some of the most exciting features of the new version include:
- A new Tutorial and Training Modes, to get you started and then build your skills!
- The ULTIMATE Minigame Collection, containing 7 all-new minigames!
- The wild head-to-head 2-player Versus Mode!
- The ability to multitask 3, 4, or 5 slots at once!
- Gauntlet Mode, which skips the buildup and tosses you five 30-second intense rounds!
- The ability to Fast Forward up to the first 90 seconds of Quickplay Mode!
- New Bonus Modes that feature exclusive expanded versions of several minigames, including the insane dancepad-compatible Workout Mode!
- New Achievements, new Leaderboards, and much, much more!
The price is now higher, but for the crazy amount of content within, I believe that the price is more than fair! I've worked on this game for over 10 years, and I believe that it shows; it's my most polished, refined game to date, I find it to be super fun, and its replayability is off the charts! Above all, I've been staring at it for all this time, and not only am I not sick of it, I absolutely love it. It's precious to me. I hope that you, too, have a great time playing it. =) You can grab it here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/640290/Super_Duper_Multitasking/
Not ready to commit to buying it? It gives me great pleasure to announce the release of the 100% FREE Super Multitasking GO! It contains Super Duper Multitasking's Tutorial, plus limited versions of its two core game modes, Quickplay and Mission! About half of the full game's minigames are present. Most of the gameplay options are missing, and you only get 15 Missions, but it's a pretty good representation of the full game's experience, and a fun game in its own right! So if you haven't checked this game out yet, give it a try for FREE now! You can get it here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3151600/Super_Multitasking_GO/
And, if you bought Super Duper Multitasking and are worried about someone else getting for free what you paid for, don't worry...apart from the Tutorial and Fast Forward, literally everything else in the above list (and much more, honestly) is missing from the free version.
Now...eagle-eyed players might notice that Super Duper Multitasking's version number is close to--but not quite at--version 3.0. That's because there are a few things I hadn't finished up yet, like artwork for new controllers, and I'm still working on those. But there's something else coming too, that I hadn't initially planned for.
Super Multitasking GO! wasn't always meant to be 100% free; it was meant to be free, with an optional in-app purchase. My original intent was basically to have three tiers: Super Multitasking GO! (free), Super Multitasking GO! with DLC (cheap), and Super Duper Multitasking at the top, in an effort to offer a less expensive paid tier to those customers who might want a subset of the full game's features, but weren't interested in paying full price. During Steam's review process, the game build was rejected, with the reviewer pointing out how similar the free+DLC version was to the full version. While it wasn't as similar to me as it was to the reviewer, they made an excellent point. For those folks who purchased the full game, but only played the core game modes, the free+DLC version may have been attractive...and therefore, I was essentially competing with--and undercutting--myself.
Super Multitasking GO! originally was planned to feature the full set of difficulties in Quickplay Mode, with customizable difficulty locked behind the DLC. It was also planned to have 30 Missions--half of them for free, half behind the DLC. And, it was planned to have three Bonus Modes, with two of them requiring the DLC purchase. Finally, I planned to include the two Training modes for free.
Well...that didn't happen. The DLC is history. The now-100%-free Super Multitasking GO! now only contains the Easy, Normal, and Hard difficulties in Quickplay, and they can't be customized. The Bonus Modes are absent, half the missions were cut, and the Training modes were removed. What's left is a great little game, but obviously it's not quite what it was originally meant to be.
...wait, what? Are you wondering where the cut content went? Oh, good that you asked! It'll take a few weeks, because they're going to be part of the 3.0 update, but all 30 Missions and 3 Bonus Modes designed for Super Multitasking GO! will be coming to Super Duper Multitasking! So please look forward to that =)
That being said, this is not quite the end of the Super Multitasking project. It consisted of Super Duper Multitasking itself, the free-to-play version Super Multitasking GO!, and...well, stay tuned. I was hoping to release all 3 games at the same time, but I just didn't have enough time. I'm not sure if the third game will release this year, because I have some higher priorities, but I hope you'll look forward to a single-tasking collection coming in the future!
As always, thanks very much for supporting my work, and for playing yyrGames!
